"Hmm, difficult. VERY difficult."

Sorting Hat

For my drag-n-drop assessment, I chose the wizarding world of Harry Potter! My goal for this project was to create more of a game, with an immersive feel to it. A large majority of people enjoy the Harry Potter book or movie series, so this topic seemed like a great concept to explore. Additionally, the Harry Potter world is extremely magical, which is a great recipe for an engaging and immersive activity. In this activity, you will play the role of the Sorting Hat. You must assign each character to their appropriate house, based off their personality and values. The four houses include Ravenclaw, Gryffindor, Slytherin, and Hufflepuff. This task is meant to grab the audience's attention and truly make them feel a part of Hogwarts.

I wanted this project to immerse the audience into the magical world of Harry Potter; I tried to do this by using decorative backgrounds and images, as well as themed fonts and wording. I learned how to embed a themed font, repeat a background image, and add images within the boxes. Through this project I was able to further my HTML and Javascript skills.
